LDWF Nature and Science Center at Port Wonder

This nature and science center features more than 15,000 gallons of freshwater and saltwater aquariums showcasing Louisiana’s native aquatic species, along with interactive exhibits focused on wildlife, fisheries, and outdoor recreation. Visitors can explore hands-on displays, interact with stingrays in a touch tank, learn about Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries programs, and connect their experience to real-world fishing through an adjacent public fishing pier. The center provides opportunities to learn about aquatic species, fisheries management, and aquatic animal care in managed environments.
