Coast to Classroom

Coast to Classroom is a free, bilingual education program that brings marine, fisheries, and aquaculture sectors into the classroom through engaging, curriculum-connected resources. The program provides educators with ready-to-use lesson plans, activities, videos, fact sheets, virtual experiences, and other learning resources. It helps students understand the importance of healthy oceans, sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, food production, and the economic and environmental connections to coastal communities. Coast to Classroom also highlights the diverse and innovative career opportunities available in marine industries, helping students see the ocean as a place to build future careers. While the learning materials highlight Nova Scotia experiences, they can be easily adapted for other jurisdictions with a modern-day seafood sectors.
