Booker Fowler Fish Hatchery

This public fish hatchery offers seasonal tours (March-April) that introduce visitors to fish production and stocking programs that support Louisiana’s fisheries. Visitors learn how hatchery-raised fish are spawned, hatched, grown, and released to enhance populations of species such as bass, crappie, catfish, bluegill, and threadfin shad. The hatchery highlights the role of aquaculture techniques in fisheries management, conservation, and recreational fishing.
